Who, what, when, where, why, how

Minus one
Save the date card should only be administered to the guests you want at your wedding. It should not be used as an advertisement for your engagement. Sending people who are unwilling or unable to plan to show up can cause confusion and embarrassment in both of your parts. You hate someone who shows up and they don’t have enough food or a seat to accommodate them.

As sending you to save the date cards too early can be problematic, sending them too late is just as annoying. Don’t expect out-of-town guests to be able to shell out a couple hundred dollars or more to attend the function if you’ve only warned them a month in advance.
