Have you heard of the team Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Are you a fan? What about them don’t you like them? I’ll tell you all bought.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a tremendously successful run in the NFL this season, and it’s time for the league to recognize that. The Buccaneers are about to make history, and they’re doing it with a combination of dominant defensive play and dynamic offensive stars. They’ve been the team to beat all year, and it’s time they get their due.
The Buccaneers started the season on fire. They won their first three games, setting them up well for the rest of the season. In Week 4, they lost to a very good Bears team, but they bounced back quickly with two more wins to put them at 5-2 going into Week 8. Since then, they’ve only lost one game—a heartbreaker against the Chiefs—and they’ve continued their strong play on both sides of the ball.
Their defense is one of the best in football this year, anchored by linebackers Lavonte David and Devin White and cornerback Carlton Davis III, who all have 70 or more tackles so far this season. They’ve also got an impressive secondary: Carlton Davis has eight passes defended and four interceptions; Sean Murphy-Bunting has five interceptions and nine passes defended; Jordan Whitehead has seven passes defended and four interceptions; Antoine Winfield Jr. has six
If you’re a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then you might want to stock up on some cash. The Bucs are coming off one of the best free-agent signing periods they’ve ever seen. They’ve signed former Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant, former New York Giants defensive tackle Jason Pierre-Paul, as well as veteran linebackers Vinny Curry and Kendell Beckwith. The team also has several young players looking to make an impact this year. One such player is wide receiver Mike Evans, who has been a star for the MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays for the past two years. Another player that could have an impact is cornerback Brent Grimes, who was a star at Florida State last season.
But other players could be on their way out of town. Defensive end William Gholston has been rumored to be in trade talks with multiple teams. The Bucs also have several players that could see their contracts expire at the end of the season, including defensive end Robert Ayers, safety Keith Tandy, and cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III. Those three players could all be looking for new deals if they don’t find new homes this offseason.

The Bucs have been a mess since the 2014 season, and they haven’t won more than six games in a season since that time. They’ll be without Doug Martin, who is suspended for the first three games of the year, and they’re still trying to figure out how Jameis Winston fits in Dirk Koetter’s offense. It would be a major surprise if they win more than four or five games this season.
